collab9 is looking for a hands-on engineering manager for its collaboration cloud service. The ideal candidate will be familiar with Cisco collaboration and networking technologies with experience in deploying Cisco unified communications product along with data and networking.
Pay Range: commensurate with experience.
Geography: Based out of head office in Gardena, California
Reports to: Director of Engineering
Supervises: 5 Engineers (3 on-shore including 1 Senior UC Eng & 1 Sr Sys-Net Eng) and 2 offshore)
Key Job Duties:
• Lead day to day operation of network and voice teams
• Manage engineering operations for the cloud environment
• Architect customer deployment designs based on customer and partner requirements
• Lead customer provisioning, onboarding and go live
• Create project and schedule and assign resources
• Maintain architecture documentation, diagrams and knowledge base
• Upgrade cloud infrastructure including hardware and software to latest baseline
• Working with security teams to implement and maintain compliance
• Provide architecture support to presales engineering teams
• Engage with network operations center to provide high level of support
• Act as point of escalation for engineers and network operations center
• Provide reporting to management on projects, daily operations and customer status
Minimum Qualifications (regard as necessary requirements unless specified as “preferred” or
“highly desirable”):
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science
• 3+ years of manager experience (experience managing remote and/or offshore highly desirable)
• 3 to 5 years’ experience with Cisco unified communications deployments and/or management
• 3+ years of Experience with Cisco UCS, Nexus, MDS
• 3+ years of Experience with SAN storage, preferably EMC
• 3+ years of Experience in managing engineering teams for deployment project
• 3+ years of Experience with support organization for multi-level customer support
• Strong interpersonal, team building, organizational and motivational skills are a must
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with strong presentation skills
