- Both resumes and LinkedIn profiles address employment history...but they serve different purposes. A resume communicates your job expertise. Translation: if a job candidate wants their LinkedIn profile to get noticed, a LinkedIn photo that (literally and figuratively) presents you in "the best light" is mandatory.
